John 17, 20-26

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 17, 20-26

I ask not only on behalf of these, but also on behalf of those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one. As you, Father, are in me and I am in you, may they also be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. The glory that you have given me I have given them, so that they may be one, as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may become completely one, so that the world may know that you have sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. Father, I desire that those also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory, which you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world.

‘Righteous Father, the world does not know you, but I know you; and these know that you have sent me. I made your name known to them, and I will make it known, so that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.’

Look up

1) They will believe in me: Many people are getting to know Jesus during this time. Many are discovering him and are understanding that He is a Jesus who is on our side, and is accompanying us in this difficult and painful time. Jesus is touching many hearts and is also forging a new Pentecost in many people, so that their hearts will burn for him. Today, we thank God for you, who in this time of pandemic, met or will meet Him.

2) Let us be one: Jesus has been insisting that we work towards unity among us . How sad it is to see that humans divide ourselves, even on religious issues! It is hard for us to come to an agreement, and difficult to find unity… even in the family. One of our mistakes is that when we express an idea, we often attack the other person. It’s like the first thing we do is kill the postman who brings the message! By this I’m referring to all areas of life, as well as the religious and family life. Today, we ask for the gift of tolerance and the power to learn to generate dialogue.

3) Be with me: How nice it is to know that Jesus has something prepared for us; that you and I are on Jesus’ list of concerns. It is true that there are times we want him to hurry up and answer us, but hey, at least we are on His list.
Lord Jesus, give us the grace to live in you and to wait on you.
God-bless you and protect you in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Never forget heaven is our goal .

Your contribution help us to continue with our mission
God Bless You!
