Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according Saint Mark 6, 30- 34

The Apostles gathered together with Jesus
and reported all they had done and taught.
He said to them,
“Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.”
People were coming and going in great numbers,
and they had no opportunity even to eat.
So they went off in the boat by themselves to a deserted place.
People saw them leaving and many came to know about it.
They hastened there on foot from all the towns
and arrived at the place before them.

When Jesus disembarked and saw the vast crowd,
his heart was moved with pity for them,
for they were like sheep without a shepherd;
and he began to teach them many things.

Rest in Jesus

1. There is no time. Our world today moves at a frenetic pace, and we don’t even have time to rest. We don’t find the time to pray. We don’t find time to be with our family or talk to our loved ones. It’s necessary to slow down and look inside us. Take a moment for your personal prayer and a moment of relaxation because it’s a real necessity and part of your life. We need it! Discover how to do what is needed at the right time.

2. Rest in Jesus. Today, Jesus invites you to rest, to seek a moment with him and let him know your troubles so He can help. Remember the book of Ecclesiastes where we read that everything has its time. The key is to come to God and fill yourself with his Love and his Peace. Seek to speak with Jesus today from the depth of your heart.

3. Compassion. For those of us who work in a parish church, in groups or movements, this is important. First, find your time to pray and fill yourself with the Word of the gospel, and then your time to act. Compassion, in Christians, is not an attitude that comes from the sentimental point of view; it’s a deeply spiritual attitude. Are you compassionate with others? Reflect on that.

Remember that something good is on the way!

God bless you and protect you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
