Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 6, 16- 21

When it was evening, the disciples of Jesus went down to the sea,
embarked in a boat, and went across the sea to Capernaum.
It had already grown dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them.
The sea was stirred up because a strong wind was blowing.
When they had rowed about three or four miles,
they saw Jesus walking on the sea and coming near the boat,
and they began to be afraid.
But he said to them, “It is I. Do not be afraid.”
They wanted to take him into the boat,
but the boat immediately arrived at the shore
to which they were heading.

Don’t be afraid, it’s me

1. It had already grown dark. Nighttime is the moment when we feel more fear and distrust. In the darkness of our life, the crashing waves change the direction of our path, and we have to fight against the tide. We also feel dazed and can’t see well. We must have a lot of strength so as not to sink and have a firm head so that all our life does not go down either. It’s a struggle to reach the other shore. Those who take risks for a new life must face many difficulties, but that’s how they win and grow, and learn.

2. They were afraid. They see Jesus but they think He’s a ghost. Many times, it’s difficult for us to see God amid difficulties and troubles, and that causes fear. If we don’t deepen our faith and make it grow stronger, the presence of God can frighten us rather than relieve us. Fear paralyzes and disconcerts us, makes us panic. Sometimes, imagination overwhelms us and even leads us to feel breathless.

3. It’s me, don’t be afraid. Jesus wants to remind you that He has come to your life and wants to be with you, He has come to stay forever. So, make space for God to help you find the heaven you are searching for so much. Don’t be afraid and go ahead, you have a beautiful future.  And smile to show you have found God in your life. Please don’t let your smile fade away.

Always remember something good is on the way.

God bless you and protect you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
