Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 11, 14-23
Jesus was driving out a demon that was mute,
and when the demon had gone out,
the mute man spoke and the crowds were amazed.
Some of them said, “By the power of Beelzebul, the prince of demons,
he drives out demons.”
Others, to test him, asked him for a sign from heaven.
But he knew their thoughts and said to them,
“Every kingdom divided against itself will be laid waste
and house will fall against house.
And if Satan is divided against himself,
how will his kingdom stand?
For you say that it is by Beelzebul that I drive out demons.
If I, then, drive out demons by Beelzebul,
by whom do your own people drive them out?
Therefore they will be your judges.
But if it is by the finger of God that I drive out demons,
then the Kingdom of God has come upon you.
When a strong man fully armed guards his palace,
his possessions are safe.
But when one stronger than he attacks and overcomes him,
he takes away the armor on which he relied
and distributes the spoils.
Whoever is not with me is against me,
and whoever does not gather with me scatters.”
Speak to heal
1. Mute spirit. When you keep quiet and don’t speak about what distresses you, it ends up dividing you internally. Some time ago, a priest who’s a friend of mine told me that when a priest performs an exorcism, he only names it in the final moment. Perhaps, the hell that you may be going through in your life is due to the fact that you don’t speak about it, and you don’t give a name to what’s happening to you and who’s affecting you. Therefore, try to bring out what’s inside you and express it clearly. Because if you don’t talk about what’s happening to you, it can make you ill and alienate you from life.
2. They said. There will always be opinionated people who criticize you even when you do good. But learn from Jesus who pays no attention to them and rather demonstrates with actions what must be done. Criticism is always around us and there are judgmental people who will give their opinion. There was a TV program here in Argentina called “Let’s talk without knowing” and they could spend hours talking about things they didn’t know anything about. However, a specialist would solve the problem in seconds. Don’t spend your time giving opinions without knowing what you’re talking about and learn to save time by sharing with those who know.
3. With me. Hold on to Jesus and keep looking for Him. Because you can go through many problems and many situations, but God created something extremely important: time. Learn to wait and understand that everything is achieved with perseverance. Don’t give up because even if people have opinions about your life and even if you’re afraid to speak, God is always there.
Remember that something good is on the way!
God bless you and be with you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
