Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew 11, 25-30
At that time Jesus exclaimed:
“I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth,
for although you have hidden these things
from the wise and the learned
you have revealed them to little ones.
Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will.
All things have been handed over to me by my Father.
No one knows the Son except the Father,
and no one knows the Father except the Son
and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him.
“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened,
and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,
for I am meek and humble of heart;
and you will find rest for yourselves.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.”
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you
1) Praise. To praise God is to thank Him for the generous heart He has shown us. He shapes our hearts according to His own and invites us to be merciful. In Jesus, God has revealed Himself to us, fully aware that we’re poor and weak. God knows that a wounded and humbled heart is able to praise Him more deeply than a heart that is self-sufficient and proud. Today, let’s praise God with our lives, recognizing how small and dependent we truly are.
2) Come to me. I love this phrase of the Gospel, especially on this day we celebrate the Sacred Heart of Jesus. He’s inviting us, calling us, waiting for us. The doors of His Heart are always open for you. He longs to cleanse you and offer you a new beginning. Return to God – life is in Him, and with Him there’s always another chance.
3) Meek and humble. In the biblical sense, meekness is not weakness but strength under control – a quiet strength marked by gentleness, humility, and complete submission to God’s will. It reminds us that our relationship with God is meant to be a cooperation: He is the one who leads, shows the way, and sustains us. Our part is to remain humble and attentive, learning to follow His guidance with a disciplined and receptive heart. Humility is the key to every heart surrendered to God. Place your heart in His hands and learn to recognize His work in your life.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you.
Sweet heart of Mary, be my salvation
Jesus, meek and humble of Heart, make my heart like unto Thine.
God bless you and be with you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Always remember that something good is on the way.
