Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 7,21.24-27.
Jesus said to his disciples: “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven.
Everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock.
The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house. But it did not collapse; it had been set solidly on rock.
And everyone who listens to these words of mine but does not act on them will be like a fool who built his house on sand.
The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house. And it collapsed and was completely ruined.”
Strong as rock
1) Those who say: Here He speaks of people who talk a lot but don’t do much. Someone who is “all talk and no action”. We have to be careful with this. Someone might have a Master’s degree in religion, but if he talks too much he might be considered conceited and annoying. You and I must be very careful because we can talk a lot; even talk beautifully about God, but sometimes our actions do not reflect what we say. Remember, “Actions speak louder than words.”
2) Those who do: those who are sensible and do things. They are those brothers who are efficient; who go out to the streets to share the love of God in everyday, simple ways. They’re those people who work quietly; toiling away in silence; never bragging about what they do. Whatever they do they do it for love and true conviction. Others just want to show off, but they are not acting out of love.
3) Rock: The rock is your connection with God. The rock is the key to making your life coherent. If you want a “ rock-solid” faith, maintain a close relationship with God. Work on that ability to enter into a deep encounter with Christ and speak with Him. Dialogue with Him.
Do you want to be a Rock? Then PRAY, STUDY AND BECOME AN ACTIVE APOSTLE OF CHRIST. PREPARE yourself during this season.
God bless you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
And remember, Heaven is Our Goal !
