Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Mark 16,15-18.
Jesus said to the eleven: “Go into the whole world and proclaim the Gospel to every creature.
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned.
These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will drive out demons, they will speak new languages.
They will pick up serpents (with their hands), and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not harm them. They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
You must fall from the horse to see and announce
- To fall from the horse: this is what distinguishes the figure of Paul. Today we celebrate his conversion, his change from being persecuted to being pursued. When Jesus makes His appearance he says “Why do you follow me?” This is telling him that seeking the Church is also seeking Christ. The fall from the horse is a representation for people that must fall from their pride, from their plans, and the feeling of superiority from others. Today God wants you to fall from the horse and remind you how hard the floor is.
- To see: Saul is blind. He will be a follower of Jesus that will be given sight. When you fall from the horse of life, you remain blind because you are unable to see and understand what´s going on. This happens to us often where you are hit by events in life and you stay dizzy, and do not know what to do or where to go. You need help regaining perspective and seeing the clear path to where you should go.
- To announce: this appears clearly in the Gospel. When one falls and sees life through a different perspective, you need to announce it to everyone. It is a need that comes from within to show what God has done in our lives not only through the Bible but in your life and in the lives of others. Today there are many people that are sitting in their high horses, including you that are listening these audios, but reflect whether you can help others see, that it is not the fall they should regret rather that you were able to see away from pride and announce that Christ is alive to others.
May God bless you and the name of the Father and of the son and of the holy spirit
Always remember heaven is our goal
