Matthew 8,23-27

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 8,23-27

As Jesus got into a boat, his disciples followed him.
Suddenly a violent storm came up on the sea, so that the boat was being swamped by waves; but he was asleep.
They came and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!”
He said to them, “Why are you terrified, O you of little faith?” Then he got up, rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was great calm.
The men were amazed and said, “What sort of man is this, whom even the winds and the sea obey?”

1) A temporary stronghold: Life is marked by moments; some may be good and positive, and others are bad and full of obstacles. There are also definitive moments where you hit bottom and the only way out is up. It is a positive aspect that everything is dark, and you are unable to see clearly. Fear and anguish usually overtake you because you are unsure where you should go. You want to get out of the situation fast, to stop the pain. Have you been in a situation like this? Let us ponder why and how we moved on.

2) He sleeps: During hardships, God disappears from our lives, since we are not able to feel or see Him. We feel completely alone on the inside and outside. We do not feel like praying or talking to God and we even get mad at God. Please do not abandon yourself or God.

3) Calmness: When we turn to God, He works and leads us to calmness. His power will reach us in the least expected moment, and He is constantly with us, even though we do not feel Him. Ask Jesus for calmness to reach your life, to reach the peace that is needed in your life. Let calmness arrive in your life because only God can grant it. Today pray for faith and peace in your life.
God bless you In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Remember, heaven is our goal !
