Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 17, 11-19
As Jesus continued his journey to Jerusalem,
he traveled through Samaria and Galilee.
As he was entering a village, ten lepers met him.
They stood at a distance from him and raised their voice, saying,
“Jesus, Master! Have pity on us!”
And when he saw them, he said,
“Go show yourselves to the priests.”
As they were going they were cleansed.
And one of them, realizing he had been healed,
returned, glorifying God in a loud voice;
and he fell at the feet of Jesus and thanked him.
He was a Samaritan.
Jesus said in reply,
“Ten were cleansed, were they not?
Where are the other nine?
Has none but this foreigner returned to give thanks to God?”
Then he said to him, “Stand up and go;
your faith has saved you.”
Met him
1. The lepers. At times, you might find yourself experiencing a kind of spiritual leprosy—a state where life’s wounds, whether caused by situations or by others, drive you to withdraw from those around you. This leads to a sense of losing yourself, as if your identity has been diminished by actions or judgments of others, leaving you feeling lost and angry as a result of being misunderstood or unfairly singled out.
2. Purified. Faith has the power to cleanse you. A spiritual life teaches you that change is always possible and that every person and situation holds the potential for transformation. As long as there is life, there is hope—nothing is beyond redemption. For those who place their trust in God, anything can be achieved. Today, you have the opportunity to free yourself from the burdens or labels placed on you by others or even by yourself. Have courage; your circumstances can always improve, and you are capable of making that change.
3. Grateful. Living with gratitude is essential. It’s important to realize that time is not simply lost—it can be wasted if not appreciated. In everything you do, you must remember to be thankful for the gift of life. Be grateful for everything, even the difficult moments, because they too offer valuable lessons. Embrace life with Christ, for Christ helps you understand your journey.
Always remember that something good is on the way! God bless you and be with you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
