Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Luke 10, 21-24
Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said,
“I give you praise, Father, Lord of heaven and earth,
for although you have hidden these things
from the wise and the learned
you have revealed them to the childlike.
Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will.
All things have been handed over to me by my Father.
No one knows who the Son is except the Father,
and who the Father is except the Son
and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him.”
Turning to the disciples in private he said,
“Blessed are the eyes that see what you see.
For I say to you,
many prophets and kings desired to see what you see,
but did not see it,
and to hear what you hear, but did not hear it.”
Praising Greatness
1. Rejoiced. In life, you’re motivated to work for what you care about, or who you love. The problem arises when you don’t know what you want, when you don’t love anyone, and when nothing motivates you. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you strength to find a motivation and to help you find your reason to keep going. Leave aside your failures and worries and focus on what inspires you. Today, try to notice what truly moves you and brings you joy.
2. Little Ones. Every day I become more certain that it is the small things that make you great in life. When I went through tough times and suffered depression, it was often people I didn’t expect who helped me, even just by inviting me out for a walk, so I wouldn’t lie in bed all day. Sometimes, those you expect to care don’t reach out. But remember, kindness can come from anyone, even from someone you barely notice; it might be the person who serves you coffee or the one sweeping the yard.
3. Blessed. Happiness is a choice, not just a feeling. Each day, look for what makes you happy and remember what has helped you. Today, make a conscious decision to be happy and choose to do something good for yourself. Face your fears and work on your weaknesses. Happiness comes from your attitude—so put your heart into your life.
Always remember that something good is on the way!
God bless you and protect you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
