Mark 6, 30-34

No time

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Mark 6, 30-34

The Apostles gathered together with Jesus
and reported all they had done and taught.
He said to them,
“Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.”
People were coming and going in great numbers,
and they had no opportunity even to eat.
So they went off in the boat by themselves to a deserted place.
People saw them leaving and many came to know about it.
They hastened there on foot from all the towns
and arrived at the place before them.

When Jesus disembarked and saw the vast crowd,
his heart was moved with pity for them,
for they were like sheep without a shepherd;
and he began to teach them many things.

No time

1. Time for God. Jesus seeks the Father in solitude. You need to find your own quiet place, because others may overwhelm you with their concerns and demands. Make time to speak with God, to plan your day and your life together with Him. Take the opportunity to understand what God desires from you and what you can offer in return. The key is to approach God and be filled with His love and peace. Today, strive to talk with Jesus from the depths of your heart.

2. Time for yourself. Learning to say “no” helps you care for yourself and your well-being. Life is a gift—take time to appreciate it. Avoid rushing through experiences; instead, savor each moment, as you would enjoy the flavor of every bite of a meal. Be mindful of your time. Often, we struggle to make time for family or meaningful conversations with loved ones. It’s important to slow down and reflect inwardly. Allow yourself moments for personal prayer and relaxation, as these are truly necessary and integral to your life.

3. Time for others. Setting boundaries—both for yourself and others—clarifies your priorities. Learn to respond to needs as they arise, at the appropriate time. There are people who need you, but it’s important to balance the time you give them with the time you reserve for yourself. Start by praying and immersing yourself in God’s Word and then move into action. For Christians, compassion is not merely a sentimental feeling; it is a profound spiritual response.

Remember that something good is on the way!

God bless you and protect you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
