Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to John 15, 1-8
Jesus said to his disciples:
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine grower.
He takes away every branch in me that does not bear fruit,
and everyone that does he prunes so that it bears more fruit.
You are already pruned because of the word that I spoke to you.
Remain in me, as I remain in you.
Just as a branch cannot bear fruit on its own
unless it remains on the vine,
so neither can you unless you remain in me.
I am the vine, you are the branches.
Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit,
because without me you can do nothing.
Anyone who does not remain in me
will be thrown out like a branch and wither;
people will gather them and throw them into a fire
and they will be burned.
If you remain in me and my words remain in you,
ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you.
By this is my Father glorified,
that you bear much fruit and become my disciples.”
The Vine
1. The true vine. Sometimes we lose our authenticity and start imitating others instead of being ourselves. Life is about returning to your own truth and embracing who you really are—living genuinely, without deceiving yourself or hiding your true self.
2. Pruning. There are moments in life when you need to let go of or cut away certain situations so you can grow and reach new goals. It’s not always easy—some changes are painful, and you may need to make a tough break for your own well-being. I once had to end a relationship with someone I cared about deeply, but it wasn’t good for me. That experience helped me mature, teaching me that it’s better to feel pain for a short time than to suffer for a lifetime.
3. Remain in me. Making the decision to cut things out is important, but what really matters is remaining faithful to your principles and the choices you’ve made for your life. It’s challenging to stick with your choices once you’ve committed, but that’s how you achieve lasting results. Today, choose to stay connected to the people and decisions that truly benefit you and help you grow.
Remember that something good is on the way!
God bless you and protect you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
