Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 16,20-23
Jesus said to his disciples:
“Amen, amen, I say to you, you will weep and mourn,
while the world rejoices;
you will grieve, but your grief will become joy.
When a woman is in labor, she is in anguish because her hour has arrived;
but when she has given birth to a child,
she no longer remembers the pain because of her joy
that a child has been born into the world.
So you also are now in anguish.
But I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice,
and no one will take your joy away from you.
On that day you will not question me about anything.
Amen, amen, I say to you,
whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you.”
The world
1. Weeping. Tears are a natural part of life, and they surface during our most significant moments. In fact, we come into this world crying, and many depart the same way. Today, ask Jesus to give you a broader perspective on your life. As the saying goes, “The world looks clearer through eyes that have cried”.
2. Joy. Joy comes from allowing yourself to live fully and pursue your dreams—or at least, from considering what you desire in life and having the courage to act. Joy is also found in the milestones you reach and the challenges you’ve stepped up to face head-on.
3. Processes. Moving from hardship to happiness takes time, and it’s important to respect your own pace. Everything happens in its own time; it’s crucial to work through your circumstances instead of lingering in bitterness or pain. This means redirecting your focus toward your life’s purpose. Returning to spiritual perspective brings comfort and healing because it lets you view your situation with renewed hope. Faith doesn’t shield you from suffering, but it empowers you to turn pain into lessons and reminds you that possibilities always exist.
Don’t forget that something good is on the way!
God bless you and guard you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
