Luke 7,31-35

Luke 7, 31-35

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 7,31-35.

Jesus said to the crowds: “To what shall I compare the people of this generation? What are they like?
They are like children who sit in the marketplace and call to one another, ‘We played the flute for you, but you did not dance. We sang a dirge, but you did not weep.’
For John the Baptist came neither eating food nor drinking wine, and you said, ‘He is possessed by a demon.’
The Son of Man came eating and drinking and you said, ‘Look, he is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’
But wisdom is vindicated by all her children.”

When you are not satisfied with anything …

1) Only Seeking Pleasure: there are times when you become so demanding that nothing satisfies, you continually demand more and more . You see life as a
menu where you can decide to add or remove items based on your feelings of entitlement. Do not be a Christian who is not satisfied with their lives. Take the ‘bull by the horns’ ..reach for God and do not settle for a mediocre life always wanting more, but never realizing all that you have.

2) Criticism: This can happen when you take it upon yourself to constantly criticize others and meddle where you are not wanted. You may even give your ‘two cents’ about things that you have no idea about. Being so critical, you may end up being alone because you have become unbearable to those around you. By being so critical you may loose out on opportunities because you have over analyzed the situation so much you have ruined it before it has even started.

3) Wisdom: This is a gift from the Holy Spirit where He invites you to enjoy life. Your life is worth it and all of us who are part of your life are worth it too. Therefore learn to live your life and not criticize it. Life is too short to be bitter. Life is played only once.

God bless you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
