Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 12,49-53.
Jesus said to his disciples: “I have come to set the earth on fire, and how I wish it were already blazing!
There is a baptism with which I must be baptized, and how great is my anguish until it is accomplished!
Do you think that I have come to establish peace on the earth? No, I tell you, but rather division.
From now on a household of five will be divided, three against two and two against three;
a father will be divided against his son and a son against his father, a mother against her daughter and a daughter against her mother, a mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.”
God wants to ignite your life with the fire of his love.
1) Fire: Fire implies something that consumes and purifies, which assumes, illuminates and heats you. When God is in your heart, He lights up a fire deep inside you. Whoever has God’s fire in him or her, illuminates and does not get tired, is purified and becomes light. Even his personality changes to attract and show warmth and cordiality to those around him.
2) Baptism: It’s the changing point, what makes you a child of God. When you accept Christ in your life, He gives you dignity and identity, you are a valuable person, do not let yourself be turn down by anyone, your heart cannot be discouraged or humiliated, you are so important, that Jesus gave his Life for you.
3) Peace: This peace process brings along confrontation, you will have to fight for your path of peace. Today, if you want to follow a path to peace, you need to go through a process. Do not deceive yourself, to achieve peace in your life you must face many things, you must begin by confronting your own self and assume your reality.
