Matthew 6,7-15

Matthew 6, 7-15

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 6,7-15

Jesus said to his disciples:
“In praying, do not babble like the pagans, who think that they will be heard because of their many words.
Do not be like them. Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
This is how you are to pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread;
and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors;
and do not subject us to the final test, but deliver us from the evil one.
If you forgive others their transgressions, your heavenly Father will forgive you.
But if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your transgressions.”

The key aspect is to pray

1) Prayer: in lent, we must pray. You must take the time and learn to pray. Activism is one of the games that the devil uses to take you away from prayer. This leads you to reduce the time of prayer to a Holy Father and that is all. Your prayer must be a constant conversation with God. Like you use your cell phone, use the conversation with God with purpose.

2) It is not talking: I have mentioned this before, the difference between praying and talking. Prayer is a conversation with God from your heart and with your words. Praying repeating sentences from the prayer book is not enough. Prayer must be aware and vocalize what you are thinking. Have God on your mind and when you can you talk to Him or sing.

3) Holy Father: it is the prayer with which we grow. It says it all. This is all you need. We will analyze each word of this prayer later, because it is truly magnificent. If this prayer is all you can do, I propose you say it slowly and meditate each word to see if you really live by all its meaning.

God bless you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Remember: Heaven is our goal!
