Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 14,21-26
Jesus said to his disciples: “Whoever has my commandments and observes them is the one who loves me. Whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him.”
Judas, not the Iscariot, said to him, “Master, (then) what happened that you will reveal yourself to us and not to the world?”
Jesus answered and said to him, “Whoever loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our dwelling with him.
Whoever does not love me does not keep my words; yet the word you hear is not mine but that of the Father who sent me.
I have told you this while I am with you.
The Advocate, the holy Spirit that the Father will send in my name–he will teach you everything and remind you of all that (I) told you.”
To comply is to love
1) Comply: In Christianity, religion is not a mere compliance rather acts of love, where one acts out of love to enrich your relationship with Jesus. It is not to comply with the rules and there is no checklist Jesus has, of whether you have fulfilled each item or not. Remember Jesus does not account in an excel all that you do every instant. Relax, Jesus does not work that way.
2) Faithful to His word: This is trace of love that leads you to a way of life. We call this a spiritual life where through prayer you reach our Lord and gives you a vision of everything from God´s point of view. It is finding answers to everything you are living.
3) The Holy Spirit: Today, I invite you to begin a relationship with the Holy Spirit. In your prayers, ask Him for help to get closer to the plentiful love with Jesus and ask for the love Jesus deserves from you. Do not forget either to ask the Holy Spirit for peace and happiness.
God bless you in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Heaven is our goal.
