Mark 12,28-34

Mark 12,28-34

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Mark 12,28-34

One of the scribes came to Jesus and asked him, “Which is the first of all the commandments?”
Jesus replied, “The first is this: ‘Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is Lord alone!
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’
The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
The scribe said to him, “Well said, teacher. You are right in saying, ‘He is One and there is no other than he.’
And ‘to love him with all your heart, with all your understanding, with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself’ is worth more than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
And when Jesus saw that (he) answered with understanding, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” And no one dared to ask him any more questions.

You will love our Lord

1) The first: loving our Lord is the essential part of life, this is what we all should do. The love implies that everyone should know where you must be. It is a starting point for all of us and we must face it head on.

2)Thy neighbor: it is very hard for us to coexist and I am sure there are brothers or sisters that give you a lot of problems and headaches; it is this what Christianity teaches us: to look at our neighbors and be able to see them through God’ sight. Surely you must also be the cause of headaches for someone…. but the sun still shines on you every day.

3) The road: God and other human beings is our daily course in life. It is where we feed each other as human beings and are able to reach happiness. You can work with a good attitude and a smile for others and God, and we kill two birds with one stone as the saying goes. I trust in the sacred heart of Jesus.

God bless you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
