Matthew 5,1-12

Matthew 5,1-12

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 5,1-12

When Jesus saw the crowds, he went up the mountain, and after he had sat down, his disciples came to him.
He began to teach them, saying:
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the land.
Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the clean of heart, for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of evil against you (falsely) because of me.
Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven.”

Be happy!

1) He sat down: Jesus assumes the role of a teacher; in those days teachers used to sit down to teach. Today, for you to be able to teach in life, you have to sit down, stop running around … take your time to teach us.
Yes! I’m telling you! You can also teach because God put something in you that is uniquely yours …something that God gave you to be at the service of this society. But in order to teach us, you have to “sit down” ; you need to Stop rushing around, always in a hurry. Start noticing that there are times you don’t even have time to sit down to have a cup of coffee with a good friend, or play with your children, or talk with your wife or husband.
Think about how short life is; know that you have something important to say to this world, you have to give something because you are here in this world for a reason! Come on, Slow down!

2) Blessed :
From the Pope’s words in “Christus Vivit” #162:
” But I would also remind you that you won’t become holy and find fulfilment by copying others. Imitating Saints does not mean copying their lifestyle and their way of living holiness: “There are some testimonies that may prove helpful and inspiring, but that we are not meant to copy, for that could even lead us astray from the ONE SPECIFIC PATH that the Lord has in mind for us.”[86]”
You have to discover who you are and develop your own path to Holiness. To become holy is to become the complete person God needs you to be…not a copy of someone else. The example of your life will be a prophetic stimulus to others. Your unique mark on this world will be an impulse for others’ paths. If you copy someone else, and are not your true self, you will deprive this earth and Heaven of something beautiful that ONLY YOU CAN OFFER !

3) Find God in ordinary life:
God reminds us that our Sanctification happens in the ordinary things of daily life: at home, work, school, in the everyday things. Whether you experience a day of hell or heaven is up to you. Work hard , heaven is our goal !

God bless you in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Your contribution help us to continue with our mission
God Bless You!
