John 3 22-30

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 3,22-30

Jesus and his disciples went into the region of Judea, where he spent some time with them baptizing.
John was also baptizing in Aenon near Salim, because there was an abundance of water there, and people came to be baptized,
for John had not yet been imprisoned.
Now a dispute arose between the disciples of John and a Jew about ceremonial washings.
So they came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, the one who was with you across the Jordan, to whom you testified, here he is baptizing and everyone is coming to him.”
John answered and said, “No one can receive anything except what has been given him from heaven.
You yourselves can testify that I said (that) I am not the Messiah, but that I was sent before him.
The one who has the bride is the bridegroom; the best man, who stands and listens for him, rejoices greatly at the bridegroom’s voice. So this joy of mine has been made complete.
He must increase; I must decrease.”

He spent time with them

1 He stayed. It is important that you slow down and look for your roots and that you discover along your path the places and people that make you return to the fundamental point around which your life is centered. Just as there are toxic people who make your life miserable, there are also others who help you stay centered and strengthen you to fulfill your mission. Stay in the places or with the people that do you good. This will help you build your life, to constitute the reality of your life.

2 Purification. We are always called to purify ourselves and make a path of changes. It’s important to carry out an individual process where you can realize that what you did was wrong. This is when the sacrament of confession is important beyond the priest who administers it. To purify is to seek a path of good intentions, make changes and experience inner struggle.

3 Union. In today’s gospel we, Christians, are reminded that we must be united, we must walk together. It is incredible that people from the same parish or the same movement should fight with each other because one is on the right or left, conservative or progressive, because one puts his hands like this or like that, etc. We need to be united so that others believe us and accept us.
God bless you and be with you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Remember, Heaven is our goal!

Your contribution help us to continue with our mission
God Bless You!
