Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 5,17-19
Jesus said to his disciples: “Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill.
Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place.
Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do so will be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever obeys and teaches these commandments will be called greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”
Fulfilling and pretending
1) Fulfill: Don’t stop meditating on the Word of God. Take advantage of these days of quarantine to find your Bible and read a passage, or download the app so you can read a little bit of it. See how important the Word of God is… that Jesus gives it His backing. Many times we don’t even look at our Bible, maybe we have it as an ornament in the house or as a lucky charm. Take advantage of it and read the Word.
2) Fulfill: To love God is to fulfill everything because he himself leads you to it. Being Christians today means being good citizens and fulfilling these days of quarantine as we should. It is good that we are being prudent, taking care of each other, being responsible, and remembering that these are not days of holidays but of safeguarding and care.
3) Be giants: This is the point; the supernatural vision. We will be giants when we discover who we are and where we are going. The road to heaven does not stop, and you and I are called to walk it together. God does not want us to save ourselves alone… we are a family and we must help each other be saved.
God-bless you and be with you in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Never forget, heaven is our goal !
