Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 17, 20- 25

Once Jesus was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God was coming, and he answered, “The kingdom of God is not coming with things that can be observed; nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There it is!’ For, in fact, the kingdom of God is among you.” Then he said to the disciples, “The days are coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it. They will say to you, ‘Look there!’ or ‘Look here!’ Do not go, do not set off in pursuit. For as the lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one side to the other, so will the Son of Man be in his day. But first he must endure much suffering and be rejected by this generation.”

God’s Kingdom

1) Ostensibly. Usually, when we think of the end of times, we feel afraid and we imagine volcanoes erupting, earthquakes, and light dying in the sky. How do you imagine the end of times? Even some Hollywood writers may fall short of what you may be imagining. Jesus shows us that God’s Kingdom is much less complicated.

2) Christ is coming. The end of times will be when Christ comes again for the second time. There isn’t a greater joy for a Christian than this. Meeting Jesus is the most beautiful thing that could happen to us. Why should we be afraid? If this is our hope, we Christians should welcome Jesus at the end of time. With Him, life becomes easier.

3) Meet Jesus today! Today, we need to restore our daily life. As Mother Theresa of Calcutta said, “May your Mass be like the last, the only and first one.” Apply this to your life today. I invite you to live this way. Come together with your family like it is the first, the only and the last time. Today is the day where you give everything to live it. Leave everything to Jesus. His Kingdom is already here, and Jesus is in you, with you, and for you.God bless you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Never forget Heaven is our goal!
