Luke 21,34-36

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 21,34-36

Jesus said to his disciples: “Beware that your hearts do not become drowsy from carousing and drunkenness and the anxieties of daily life, and that day catch you by surprise
like a trap. For that day will assault everyone who lives on the face of the earth.
Be vigilant at all times and pray that you have the strength to escape the tribulations that are imminent and to stand before the Son of Man.”

Be careful

1)  Dazed. At this time of the year, you must surely be dazed by so many things that have happened so far, but remember mistakes are made when things are done in excess. Even something that may seem good in principle, if there is excess, it becomes bad. For example, it is good to work, but if you overdo it and are involved in it all the time, even if you are working for the Church, it is not good if you don’t make time for your family.

2) Prevent. Remember, we must be astute and bear in mind we are only passing through this world; it is our constant walk towards God. Keep on walking straight ahead, firmly and slowly, because if you go too fast you will certainly stumble and then lose your way.

3)  Pray. Don’t ever stop praying, it is the key to our life. It’s all about learning to discern your path, listening to what God wants and has in mind for you. Don’t stop talking to God. He knows how to give good advice.
God bless you in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Remember, Heaven is our goal!
