Mark 13, 24-32

Mark 13,24-32-fb

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Mark 13, 24-32

Jesus said to his disciples:
“In those days after that tribulation
the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light,
and the stars will be falling from the sky,
and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.

“And then they will see ‘the Son of Man coming in the clouds’
with great power and glory,
and then he will send out the angels
and gather his elect from the four winds,
from the end of the earth to the end of the sky.

“Learn a lesson from the fig tree.
When its branch becomes tender and sprouts leaves,
you know that summer is near.
In the same way, when you see these things happening,
know that he is near, at the gates.
Amen, I say to you,
this generation will not pass away
until all these things have taken place.
Heaven and earth will pass away,
but my words will not pass away.

“But of that day or hour, no one knows,
neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.”

The end of time

1) After this tribulation. Today, we live hard and difficult times, but as you see in our Christian life there have always been challenges. Our challenge today is not to contaminate ourselves with things that do not lead us to God or to live in a relaxed way as if nothing wrong is happening. Today, relativism is one of the strong points that we must face.

2) The Son of God. Remember that our hope is Jesus, and never forget this. Seek Him, return to Him, and take refuge in Him. Life without Jesus is difficult and hard. He constantly reminds you how to be happy and gives you antiviruses in the Gospel and the Sacraments so that you do not allow yourself to be contaminated. Go back to Jesus.

3) Look. Learn to see in your life what has distanced you from your faith and your religion. Look and see what things you have gotten into. Have you fallen into a relativism where you kind of take everything lightly, without the importance it deserves? Live life firmly in your roots and your identity.

God bless you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. And don’t forget, Heaven is our goal.
