Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Mark 3, 20-21

Jesus came with his disciples into the house.
Again the crowd gathered,
making it impossible for them even to eat.
When his relatives heard of this they set out to seize him,
for they said, “He is out of his mind.”

He is out of his mind

1.  He went home. It is beautiful to see a human Jesus, who needs the warmth of family and home. Home is a unique place. Who does not miss their home and feel sheltered there?  That happens to me with my parents, the house has become too big for them because they are both alone now. But they don’t want to leave because that’s the place where they find and treasure all their memories and their feelings, it’s the manifestation of their efforts. When I feel down or upset by the things in life, going home restores me; the smell of the stew my mother makes motivates me to go on. So many times, going home gives you the strength to struggle on! Find your healing space, your little place.

2. They couldn’t eat. Jesus needs to take shelter from the crowd, because they made it impossible for him even to eat. So, take care of your personal space and your time, because if you keep giving and giving, you won’t have time to nourish yourself. We all live an accelerated lifestyle, so much so that we have no time for anything, not even for the basics, to eat a meal peacefully. Today is an opportunity to think about what you are doing for yourself. For a start, leave the cell phone aside while you are eating. You must have time for yourself, time to relax. If not, people will consume you and your life will fade away.

3. He is out of his mind. How many times have you been criticized and labeled by those closest to you?! This happened to Jesus, and it will happen to us. Even people in our family or from within the Church itself destroy us with their comments. But don’t despair, go back to your axis. Don’t dwell on what others say about you, especially if you know that you are not what they say. You should learn that gossipers will always be around. Let’s not be one of them. Let’s not destroy one another with idle talk, because we are not united. Let’s seek to contribute and not to hurt one another. Watch your tongue.

Remember that something good is on the way!

God bless you, be with you and protect you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
