Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 13, 44-46

Jesus said to his disciples:
“The Kingdom of heaven is like a treasure buried in a field,
which a person finds and hides again,
and out of joy goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.
Again, the Kingdom of heaven is like a merchant
searching for fine pearls.
When he finds a pearl of great price,
he goes and sells all that he has and buys it.”

You are the treasure

1. What’s hidden. Nothing is easy in life and everything has a price. Happiness has a price and it implies going through pains. Calm has a price and it means facing conflicts and struggles. Joy also has a price, and that’s overcoming sadness. To achieve what you want you must go through difficult things that you don’t like. But it’s important to be clear about what you want and then look for it. Search for it. Look for God and look for that very thing that makes you happy, that gives you peace and makes you feel good. Hold on to that and share it with others.

2. Full of joy. When you find what motivates you and makes you happy, you’ll be able to give up many other things, which you realize are no longer necessary for your life. Don’t stop looking for what brings you joy and life. Joy is the result of inner peace that comes with finding that which makes you happy. A heart full of peace remains cheerful. Joy and peace are signs that you are on the right track. All renunciation is nothing when you realize what you’ll gain after that surrender. Don’t look at what you’re giving up, but rather at what you’re gaining. But you can’t have it all.

3. Buys the field. In life we need to understand that not all things are the same, some things are worth much more than others. There is a certain hierarchy of values. Some things will have to be set aside. God proposes that you see what you’re willing to lose in order to gain others which are far more valuable.  Learn how to assign value to the things that take you closer to God.

Remember that something good is on the way!

God bless you, be with you and protect you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
