Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke  6, 20-26

Raising his eyes toward his disciples Jesus said:

“Blessed are you who are poor,
for the Kingdom of God is yours.
Blessed are you who are now hungry,
for you will be satisfied.
Blessed are you who are now weeping,
for you will laugh.
Blessed are you when people hate you,
and when they exclude and insult you,
and denounce your name as evil
on account of the Son of Man.

Rejoice and leap for joy on that day!
Behold, your reward will be great in heaven.
For their ancestors treated the prophets
in the same way.

But woe to you who are rich,
for you have received your consolation.
But woe to you who are filled now,
for you will be hungry.
Woe to you who laugh now,
for you will grieve and weep.
Woe to you when all speak well of you,
for their ancestors treated the false
prophets in this way.”

The Beatitudes in Luke

1. Worry. Worry never cures anything, on the contrary, it steals your life, your time and your mind. So, pay attention to these beatitudes, and also look at your frailty and how fragile your life is. Take everything seriously, except the need to be liked by everyone and in everything. Don’t run away from anything, not even from yourself. Learn to accept yourself and the reality that you live today, without looking back at the beautiful past that touched you and without looking forward to the future that hasn’t arrived yet. Enjoy the experience of Life, that is of God, even in misfortunes. There’s no day, no matter which it may be, that doesn’t deserve to be lived. Today you’re blessed because your heart beats and you’re alive.

2. Letting go. Everything has its time and that’s why the smartest thing you can do in your life and for your life is to know how to “leave at the right time”, to know how to set limits. There’s nothing smarter and more blessed than leaving things in time, whatever they may be: something that you know is coming to an end, a party that is starting to get dangerous, an addiction that enslaves you, a job that makes you desperate. This means knowing how to set limits and leaving everything: that person, place or thing that embitters you and prevents you from living and reaching God.

3. False. There will always be people in your life who act falsely, so it’s important to be cautious and prudent. Be careful who you tell your things to and don’t give your presence to those who don’t even notice your absence. Instead, seek God and be with him. To be blessed means being aware that you’re limited, and it means trusting God. It’s knowing that you’re needy and that you’ll be fulfilled only in God. Feeling your nothingness, in God you will find everything. Seek yourself!

Don’t forget that something good is on the way!

God bless you, be with you and protect you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
