Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 13, 31-35
Some Pharisees came to Jesus and said,
“Go away, leave this area because Herod wants to kill you.”
He replied, “Go and tell that fox,
‘Behold, I cast out demons and I perform healings today and tomorrow,
and on the third day I accomplish my purpose.
Yet I must continue on my way today, tomorrow, and the following day,
for it is impossible that a prophet should die
outside of Jerusalem.’
“Jerusalem, Jerusalem,
you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you,
how many times I yearned to gather your children together
as a hen gathers her brood under her wings,
but you were unwilling!
Behold, your house will be abandoned.
But I tell you, you will not see me until the time comes when you say,
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.”
Do not fear
1. Being cautious. In life there are people who will want to complicate things, people who will make it difficult for us. But you must remember that if you are doing God’s will, you shouldn’t be afraid of them, because you are doing what’s right. I can’t deny that these people will appear, but don’t let them stop what God is bringing about in you because you’re doing a lot of good. Don’t be discouraged, because in the end these situations or these people will strengthen you.
2. Jerusalem. It’s that place of struggle and encounter. Your Jerusalem can be a person or a place. It’s where you are touched by pain and suffering. It’s where you experience the blows of life and where you feel that you’re alone. Don’t be discouraged, your Jerusalem is your cross, but it’s also your resurrection.
3. Emptiness. We must own our mistakes and learn to discern what’s our responsibility and what is not. We must remember that we must be responsible for our mistakes and make up for them. Mistakes also give us experience in life.
Never forget that something good is on the way!
God bless you and protect you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
