Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 5, 17-19

Jesus said to his disciples:
“Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets.
I have come not to abolish but to fulfill.
Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away,
not the smallest letter or the smallest part of a letter
will pass from the law,
until all things have taken place.
Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments
and teaches others to do so
will be called least in the Kingdom of heaven.
But whoever obeys and teaches these commandments
will be called greatest in the Kingdom of heaven.”

To fulfill is to love

1. Don’t think. Don’t overthink, don’t go too far, thinking about things that don’t exist and even worrying about things that may never happen. It’s easier to tame a cunning or ill-trained horse than to tame your over-active, imaginative head. So, take a while to think which of the worries you have on your mind are real, which aren’t and which you can’t find a solution to. I assure you that this will serve you as a good sieve.

2. All things have taken place. God’s work is present in your life and mine, and truth is an ally of time, because over time we discover more about ourselves and about others. I would like to suggest an exercise: think of five things you’ve learned in the last few years.  If you can, write them down.

3. Fulfill and teach. To teach you must learn and to learn you must confront and to confront you must accept. So be a master of life, not through the books you’ve read, but through the life you’ve lived and the battles you’ve faced. And I say you’ve faced battles, because the true master of life is not the one who always wins but the one who always confronts situations.

Remember that something good is on the way!

God bless you and guard you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
