Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 24, 42-51

Jesus said to his disciples:
“Stay awake!
For you do not know on which day your Lord will come.
Be sure of this: if the master of the house
had known the hour of night when the thief was coming,
he would have stayed awake
and not let his house be broken into.
So too, you also must be prepared,
for at an hour you do not expect, the Son of Man will come.

“Who, then, is the faithful and prudent servant,
whom the master has put in charge of his household
to distribute to them their food at the proper time?
Blessed is that servant whom his master on his arrival finds doing so.
Amen, I say to you, he will put him in charge of all his property.
But if that wicked servant says to himself, ‘My master is long delayed,’
and begins to beat his fellow servants,
and eat and drink with drunkards,
the servant’s master will come on an unexpected day
and at an unknown hour and will punish him severely
and assign him a place with the hypocrites,
where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth.”

Be Prepared

1. Be Ready. Please, don’t waste your life living going after fantasies that only exist in your mind and that you know will never become real. Being prepared also means never letting go of your real dreams and projects. Don’t give up the fight too soon; make your mark on life with what truly resonates with you.

2. Thieves. God always protects us. He never lets go of you and watches over you. God protects you from all the storms you face, just as He did with His disciples. He protects us from someone who wants to steal our trust in a bad relationship, and from “friends” who aren’t real and want to steal our identity. That’s why when someone cuts off a relationship with you, don’t insist. God might be protecting you from that thief in your life. Remember, there are people who say they love you but criticize you behind your back. You might not hear what they say but God does. Don’t go looking for the thief that God Himself freed you from, and don’t give your life to someone who wants to steal your happiness.

3. He will come. Life is time. That’s why anyone who plays with your time ends up playing with your life. Don’t let anyone play with your time. Today, you are what you’ve built with the time you’ve dedicated to yourself. So, don’t let anyone manipulate your life or hurt you. Someone who loves you won’t play with your time, and someone who respects your time is someone who respects your life.

Never forget that something good is on the way!

God bless you and guard you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
