Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 19, 45-48
Jesus entered the temple area and proceeded to drive out
those who were selling things, saying to them,
“It is written, My house shall be a house of prayer,
but you have made it a den of thieves.”
And every day he was teaching in the temple area.
The chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders of the people, meanwhile,
were seeking to put him to death,
but they could find no way to accomplish their purpose
because all the people were hanging on his words.

1. Vendors. When you fail to separate what is sacred from what is merely human, you can lose your sense of purpose, since life itself is sacred. Honor your life and insist that others honor it, too. Don’t alter your way of living just to satisfy the interests of those who only want to take advantage of you. Even if it hurts, make a radical and perhaps even forceful break—just as Jesus did.
2. Money Changers. Throughout life, you’ll meet people who try to take away your dignity, use you, and reshape you into what they want, causing you to lose your true self, your energy and your originality. Never allow anyone to change who you are just so they can use or manipulate you. Some people, through manipulation, may push you to become someone you never wanted to be.
3. Thieves. There are thieves in this world who will attempt to steal your peace and even your dignity. Some, driven by envy, may even try to take away your memories. Remember who you are and your purpose in this life. Stand firm against anyone who seeks to use or control you. Today, God is reminding you again that He loves you and protects you, so allow yourself to be helped.
Never forget that something good is on the way! God bless you and protect you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
