Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 21, 34- 36
Jesus said to his disciples:
“Beware that your hearts do not become drowsy
from carousing and drunkenness
and the anxieties of daily life,
and that day catch you by surprise like a trap.
For that day will assault everyone
who lives on the face of the earth.
Be vigilant at all times
and pray that you have the strength
to escape the tribulations that are imminent
and to stand before the Son of Man.”
Be careful
1. Excesses. Anything taken to extremes can be harmful. The issue arises when you fail to set personal limits, as excesses often reveal areas in your life you struggle to manage. Sometimes, these excesses are a form of escape—whether through alcohol, drugs, or other means. Don’t let excesses control your actions or define your life, because they make you pay a very high price. They lead you to serious consequences and make life much harder.
2. Prayer. In our fast-paced world, it’s important to take a moment of the day to pause, slow down, pray, and find moments of inner quiet. Choose to turn to God in prayer rather than seeking satisfaction in excess. Let conversations with God guide your decisions. Strive to recognise God in all your actions. Make space for God in your daily life—talk to Him, share your burdens and joys. If you welcome Him, God will fill your life with light, living within you, in your heart.
3. The Son of Man. Jesus desires to reign in your life forever. Today, He wants to reclaim your heart with the gentle tenderness of His love. May you discover, day by day, a God who loves you and is always close to you. Christ is alive—He is risen and present. Today, He wants to enter your life so you may have life in Him, with Him, and for Him.
Never forget that something good is on the way!
God bless you and be with you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
