Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 3, 7b-15
Jesus said to Nicodemus:
“‘You must be born from above.’
The wind blows where it wills, and you can hear the sound it makes,
but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes;
so it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
Nicodemus answered and said to him,
‘How can this happen?”
Jesus answered and said to him,
“You are the teacher of Israel and you do not understand this?
Amen, amen, I say to you,
we speak of what we know and we testify to what we have seen,
but you people do not accept our testimony.
If I tell you about earthly things and you do not believe,
how will you believe if I tell you about heavenly things?
No one has gone up to heaven
except the one who has come down from heaven, the Son of Man.
And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert,
so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.”
Born from above
1. From above. Don’t let your gaze remain solely on this world; try to see the whole picture, from a higher perspective. Your world can’t just revolve around paying off debts or simply following rules. To be spiritual is to see God in everything and to remember that He is present in all parts of your life. Aim to find what really gives meaning to your life—not in money or deals, but by looking to Christ.
2. No one knows. We must learn to trust in the power of the Holy Spirit and understand that the Spirit can touch every heart and help us grow in the truth. Being spiritual isn’t about being lost or distracted; it’s about staying grounded while keeping your eyes on heaven.
- Believing. Faith isn’t a
- bout things turning out exactly the way you want. Even less so is it about just performing rituals and following rules. Faith is about surrendering and trusting, even when things don’t go your way or are hard to handle. Trust that time will show you the truth and always remember that something good is on the way!
