Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 14, 21-26
Jesus said to his disciples:
“Whoever has my commandments and observes them
is the one who loves me.
Whoever loves me will be loved by my Father,
and I will love him and reveal myself to him.”
Judas, not the Iscariot, said to him,
“Master, then what happened that you will reveal yourself to us
and not to the world?”
Jesus answered and said to him,
“Whoever loves me will keep my word,
and my Father will love him,
and we will come to him and make our dwelling with him.
Whoever does not love me does not keep my words;
yet the word you hear is not mine
but that of the Father who sent me.
“I have told you this while I am with you.
The Advocate, the Holy Spirit
whom the Father will send in my name —
he will teach you everything
and remind you of all that I told you.”
Commandments
1. Keeping the Commandments. Observing God’s commandments isn’t about avoiding punishment or seeking rewards. It’s a true expression of love—I do it because it’s good for me and because it is genuinely good. When you embrace a lifestyle like Christianity, you learn to act out of conviction, not out of convenience. Living this way means doing what’s right for your well-being, firmly believing that you’re contributing to building God’s Kingdom here and now.
2. God will reveal Himself. In one way or another, God reveals Himself in your life and for your life. He begins to create something new within you, and you become a reflection of God to those around you.
3. Love. Those who truly love are faithful, because love is much more than emotion—it’s an attitude and a way of living for others. The faithfulness God invites you to embrace helps you discover His will for your life and what He wants you to experience inside yourself. Allow yourself to live with love, knowing that love always opens the door to new opportunities.
Remember that something good is on the way!
God bless you and guard you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
