Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 14,1-6
Jesus said to his disciples: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God; have faith also in me.
In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and take you to myself, so that where I am you also may be.
Where (I) am going you know the way.”
Thomas said to him, “Master, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?”
Jesus said to him, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Your sight must be above
1) Heaven: this is your goal in life, your job is to be in the kingdom of God and help others reach it too. Please do not forget when we begin to evangelize, we often miss the important step of reaching heaven as our last goal on earth. Often, we seek being close to our local priest in order to obtain a certain job within the Church or in our community. Thinking if I have this job it will make the job guaranteed. This is not what is important. We need to look to enter heaven and bring others with us.
2) He will constantly seek us: this is a personal relationship with God. Jesus looks for you in a personal and unique process. God is always showing you He is always by your side. We all leave this world sooner o later, but we bring with us the experience of God. This is for our soul and that is eternal.
3) Walk, truth and life: in the walk of life, when you seek God, life becomes easier because it allows you to grow as a person and help you live in truth. Do not stop looking to reach heaven, because until we reach it, we must go on.
