Matthew 10,24-33

Matthew 10 24-33

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 10,24-33

Jesus said to his Apostles: “No disciple is above his teacher, no slave above his master.
It is enough for the disciple that he become like his teacher, for the slave that he become like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more those of his household!
Therefore do not be afraid of them. Nothing is concealed that will not be revealed, nor secret that will not be known.
What I say to you in the darkness, speak in the light; what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops.
And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather, be afraid of the one who can destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.
Are not two sparrows sold for a small coin? Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father’s knowledge.
Even all the hairs of your head are counted.
So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
Everyone who acknowledges me before others I will acknowledge before my heavenly Father.
But whoever denies me before others, I will deny before my heavenly Father.”

“No disciple is above his teacher!”

1) Your place. We must always know our place. Sometimes, we may fall into the temptation of believing that we are superior to others, and that happens a lot when we are given a new position or certain responsibilities. I have seen people who changed a lot once they got a certain position; even people within the Church.

2) Clarity. Everything comes to light sooner or later, so don’t be afraid of what may come your way. Many times you will have to battle against strong opposition and people who will talk badly about you. But the important thing is to remember that everything comes to light. All will be revealed.

3) The Father. This is the essence of things: remembering WHO we work for. We must recognize God in our everyday life. We can be certain that He is with us on this journey. He is not a simple spectator; He acts in us and through us, as long as we let Him act.

God bless you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Remember that Heaven is our goal!

God Bless You!
