Matthew 11,25-27

Matthew 11 25-27

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 11,25-27

At that time Jesus exclaimed, “I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike.
Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will.
All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him.”

Thanksgiving

1) I praise you: There are reasons to thank God. I suggest that, just for today, let us not be beggars; Today let us be grateful, even for those bitter moments we have in this life. Maybe those wounds experienced in the past forged the person you are today. Give thanks for this life- for everything there is in your heart and in your memory. Today, repeat the words: “Thank you.”

2) Humility: Humility implies “walking in truth”, showing yourself just as you are; with your limitations and with your capabilities… with everything. On the path of humility the key is to keep your feet firmly on the ground and accept yourself , and show yourself to others exactly the way you are. This will lead you to great things … a priceless greatness. This greatness is to be consistent in life; being your honest self everywhere and with
everyone. According to this, are you consistent? Do you have this unity in life?

3) Simple: Being simple is knowing that what you and other people are looking for is simply being happy. As Chaplin would say: “I don’t have everything I love, but I love everything I have.” To be simple is to value yourself and value what you have.

God bless you in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
