Mark 6,30-34

Mark 6-30-34

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Mark 6,30-34

The Apostles gathered together with Jesus and reported all they had done and taught.
He said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” People were coming and going in great numbers, and they had no opportunity even to eat.
So they went off in the boat by themselves to a deserted place.
People saw them leaving and many came to know about it. They hastened there on foot from all the towns and arrived at the place before them.
When he disembarked and saw the vast crowd, his heart was moved with pity for them, for they were like sheep without a shepherd; and he began to teach them many things.

Retreat

1) To leave: It is necessary to find time to look inside. Take a moment for your personal prayer and that moment of relaxation, because it is part of your life. We need it! Discover how to do what is needed at the right time.

2) The power of prayer: The key to our Christian life is prayer. It is what allows you to continue and fight. Prayer gives light and comfort. It is necessary that you seek to calm yourself and speak with yourself. Then tell God what you have going on inside. Open up to Him to fill yourself with Him. There are times when we don’t understand prayer, or it even seems boring. The key is to meet Him and fill yourself with His Love and His Peace. Seek to speak with Jesus today from the depth of your heart.

3) Compassion: For those of us who work in our parish; in groups or movements, this is important. First, find your time to pray, and then have your time to act and fill yourself with the Word of the gospel. Compassion, in Christians, is not an attitude from the sentimental view, but it is from the spiritual sense. In your pastoral and daily actions, realize with certainty, that Jesus is there.

God bless you in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Heaven is our goal!
