Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 28,8-15

Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went away quickly from the tomb, fearful yet overjoyed, and ran to announce the news to his disciples.
And behold, Jesus met them on their way and greeted them. They approached, embraced his feet, and did him homage.
Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.”
While they were going, some of the guard went into the city and told the chief priests all that had happened.
They assembled with the elders and took counsel; then they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers,
telling them, “You are to say, ‘His disciples came by night and stole him while we were asleep.’
And if this gets to the ears of the governor, we will satisfy (him) and keep you out of trouble.”
The soldiers took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story has circulated among the Jews to the present (day).

Strength and joy

1) Frightened but overjoyed. This is what the women in the Gospel felt. Today, you and I feel the same way, fearful but happy. We know that all is not well yet, but we have the joy of knowing that Christ is alive. May happiness enter your heart. May your thoughts and your heart be filled with joy and all that brings you happiness. Worries will always be present in our life. Fears are also circling around in your head and in mine. Today let joy take over our thoughts and let’s make an effort to have a joyful attitude.

2) Rejoice. Easter is the resurrection of Jesus, His victory over death, a way to renew daily hope that we have victory over sin. Today let us rise from death to life. Let´s get rid of that which kills you and makes you a dead person though you are living. Move away from that which does not do you good and intoxicates you. Today, you must be a missionary of God and the key is the joy with which you announce the news. I must admit that many times we lack this. There are times when Christian missionaries seem to look bitter and harsh. Today, let us take Jesus and announce him with a positive and happy attitude.

3) To conceal. A sin that can dwell among us is omission which means to hide the truth. You have a lot to talk about, to proclaim, to announce and you must remember to live in truth. Do not hide the truth. Do not let your life be a lie because you only complicate it. Live in God, which means to live in truth.

God bless you and be with you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. And always remember, Heaven is our goal!
