Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 10, 22-30

The feast of the Dedication was taking place in Jerusalem.
It was winter.
And Jesus walked about in the temple area on the Portico of Solomon.
So the Jews gathered around him and said to him,
“How long are you going to keep us in suspense?
If you are the Christ, tell us plainly.”
Jesus answered them, “I told you and you do not believe.
The works I do in my Father’s name testify to me.
But you do not believe, because you are not among my sheep.
My sheep hear my voice;
I know them, and they follow me.
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish.
No one can take them out of my hand.
My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all,
and no one can take them out of the Father’s hand.
The Father and I are one.”

Hear his voice

1. Openly. Jesus speaks clearly and plainly. There are no ulterior motives.  You must also learn to say things clearly; don’t speak in a way that may lead to indistinct or divergent interpretations. Be clear in your words and in your deeds, don’t let anyone make footnotes about what you do or say.

2. You belong to God. Listening to Jesus implies following Him. Never give up seeking God and listening to Him. You belong to Him and are on his team. If you decide to follow Jesus it’s because  He has captivated you, He has changed your vision of things and you have fallen in love with him. That’s why following Jesus is an adventure.

3. Eternal life. This is what God leads you towards. Don’t be afraid because what God invites you to and proposes to you is something great. Come on! You can do a lot of good in this world and you can contribute so much to the lives of those around you.

Never forget that something good is on the way!

God bless you and protect you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
