Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 18,12-14
Jesus said to his disciples: “What is your opinion? If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them goes astray, will he not leave the ninety-nine in the hills and go in search of the stray?
And if he finds it, amen, I say to you, he rejoices more over it than over the ninety-nine that did not stray.
In just the same way, it is not the will of your heavenly Father that one of these little ones be lost.”
God comes looking for you
1) To get lost: It is easy to get lost in the walk of life since there are many distractions. We do not willingly want to get lost, we look to be with loved ones. To get lost, means that we lose the focus on Jesus and we distance ourselves from Him and loose our attention. When we lose our center on God we lose the Peace we hold and we realize we are in a place where we cannot find any answers. Think, today do you feel lost? Are you stuck in a place where you cannot find any answers?
2) The exit: Jesus teaches us the right attitude that one must have. Many lost their focus on Jesus and got lost in myriad of worries, concerns and debts. These distractions make us lose our center which should be on Jesus. Today Jesus comes to your help since the love He teaches us is one of benevolence which means no one is left behind. Jesus is always on our side.
3) Joy: It is what you feel when you re-focus your life on God. You transmit peace because you have found your focus again. I dream often of this happy Church, happy community that is glad for each person that re-focuses their life in God. Do you become happy when you see someone re-focused on God? Do not become jealous of this, your calling is to spread the Gospel not to be jealous because others live it.
God bless you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
And remember, Heaven is Our Goal !
