Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 6, 35-40

Jesus said to the crowds,
“I am the bread of life;
whoever comes to me will never hunger,
and whoever believes in me will never thirst.
But I told you that although you have seen me,
you do not believe.
Everything that the Father gives me will come to me,
and I will not reject anyone who comes to me,
because I came down from heaven not to do my own will
but the will of the one who sent me.
And this is the will of the one who sent me,
that I should not lose anything of what he gave me,
but that I should raise it on the last day.
For this is the will of my Father,
that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him
may have eternal life,
and I shall raise him on the last day.”

You are the bread

1. The bread of life. Life has those moments in which you feel needy, lacking and weak. Feeling empty is something that happens to you and me, so we start looking for a way to satisfy our needs. The issue is what one is satiated with. Because Jesus’s proposal today is to fulfil us with Him and not with material things or toxic relationships or porn. The proposal is to seek fulfilment with something that will last a lifetime. I admit that I sought to satisfy my emptiness with things that were not God, but then I found that I was needy and empty again. Seek Jesus and He will fill your heart.

2. I will not reject. Jesus never rejects a repentant heart. Those of us in the Church may reject, and even excommunicate others, but Jesus never does, because even on the cross He gave opportunities. Don’t be afraid or feel unworthy, rather feel loved and desired because Jesus never leaves you aside but seeks you out.

3. Raise. Today Jesus is looking for you again so that you may have life. Stop looking for things that are already dead and stop looking at things that don’t let you see the life. Don’t waste time trying to have things that are already dead and that turn your life into a cemetery. There are people that have hurt you and you’ve already moved away but you keep bringing them to your mind and to your day.  You keep thinking of things that are already dead, relationships with people who’ve used you, people who’ve hurt you. That’s it! Resurrect!

Remember something good is on the way!

God bless you and be with you in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
